When you need a rest…rest

It is a conscious choice to have self-time and have a rest…

It is a conscious choice to have self-time and have a rest…

What’s your excuse? There is always at least one... which sounds so true and convincing. But still it is an excuse.

Face it and decide to find a solution for it, your brain will happily help you if you direct it with the positive question, like:

How can I rest today?

How can I rest more this weekend?

Welcome to July. I love this month, it is the middle of the summer, mostly it is hot and there are always some holidays around this time. For most people this is a month of vacation and relaxation.

For most of them... For most of the moms it’s the contrary.

Daycare and kindergarten are closed, the kids are at home and they need supervision, support, friends, events, fun...and a lot of energy. On top of it, when going on holiday that is also an extra workload for moms: packing, shopping, managing the daily schedule, thinking ahead of time of everything, making the kids behave... etc. So not exactly sipping cocktails on the beach...

But.

It’s up to you what you make out of it.

If you feel it’s too demanding, slow down.

If you have too much on your plate, ask for help.

Include your partner, share the „time when you are responsible for the kids to survive”.

Plan ahead of time, but be also flexible.

Go with the flow, and accept that things can go differently on a holiday.

Rest.

Take time also for yourself.

Pay attention to have some holiday during the holiday.

:)

What are your plans for the holiday? How will you relax?

We’ll visit the family and it will be amazing to see those shiny eyes in the pool, little feet running in the garden, climbing up on grandma... and hopefully I’ll also succeed with my plan to have some self-time when I can recharge.
