Stop using these 2 excuses will empower You asap
I mean really…and quickly. It requires your hard attention, but 100% worth it.
So can you guess which are the 2 top excuses we use as moms? Yeah, me included.
Number 1 is - “I don’t have time”. Number 2 competing for the first place is “I’m tired, I can’t…” so basically that “I don’t have energy for…”
Dismissing the fact that we moms have so much on our plates would be a crazy and hypocrit move. I would never do that. I’m also in the deep shit with you :) But. Complaining and sinking into victimhood is no bueno either.
When you constantly focus on what you don’t have time for, when you unconsciously use time as your ultimate excuse, you create that pressure for yourself where you just can’t win. You’ll always just run after yourself and you’ll be stressed out.
We all have the same 24 hrs and yes we moms have extra loads because of being a parent (therefore don’t you ever dare to compare yourself to others, especially to those without kiddos) - but still the fact is that people have the same amount of time a day and still their productivity varies.
Start a DIET, where you consciouly avoid using TIME excuse. Any time you catch yourself thinking or saying:
I don’t have time
I have to run
I can’t find the time for that…
Replace them with what you choose to do instead. Because time will be spent anyhow so basically it is always your choice how you use your time.
As we eliminate the time excuse …right there stands our second one which happily takes the winner position: “Even if I know that I could take some time… I’m just too tired. I don’t feel the energy”
But let me break it to you. “I’m too tired” is a thought! (Whaaat?)
Yepp. Because feeling tired means totally different for all of us, right? So it can’t be a fact…
I’m NOT saying that when you feel tired, it is just your imagination. Nope. Remember? I’m in the deep shit with you, I know what sleep deprivation is, I know what’s it like to run after those little energy bunnies.
But.
Feeling the physical fatigue is one thing, pulling yourself even deeper with focusing on why you are so exhausted and how it will never end… is another.
When you don’t have TIME or ENERGY for something… it truly means you don’t WANT to do that.
Whaat? SO GOOD! It means you are totally in control! It feels empowering!
Think about something you would really love to do… An amazing exotic travel, sightseeing in New York, having a dinner with Chris Hemsworth … Would you use your time or energy card?
Don’t think so…
So can we agree, that '“I don’t have time'“ and “I’m tired…” are EXCUSES?
I gave you the diet tip for the time excuse, now let’s see what we can do with the energy excuse.
Any time you catch yourself thinking, saying “I’m too tired…, exhausted,… I don’t have the energy…”
Notice WHY you don’t want to do that and replace them with the truth.
Because the truth will tell you boldly why you don’t go jogging, why you don’t go to that event, why you don’t invest in that idea.
Most probably… the truth will be somehow connected to motivation.
You are not motivated by it.
And it IS OK. But don’t blame it on time and energy and motherhood…That would be so disempowering.
It’s OK that it’s not a priority for you, it doesn’t motivate you now. It’s fine.
Just give yourself this empowering gift to stop using these ultimate excuses.
You can create time and energy for what you want.
Isn’t it phenomenal?
I’m teaching a webinar about “How to create Energy” in April and then another about “How to create Time” in May where we can go deeper and see things in practice. See you there!
Have an amazing week,
