7 tips to raise your energy

Have you felt that no matter what happens you just feel so exhausted? Your baby slept through the night or maybe your toddler sleeps so much better now finally… and still you feel just always tired?

The reason behind this is that you don’t take care of your energy.

We have a certain amount of energy a day and if we don’t protect it and/or don’t raise it purposefully it can easily feel like we’re just at low energy level again and again.
(if you constantly feel exhausted visit your doctor and make some tests, sometimes it can be a vitamine deficiency or maybe a hidden problem that can cause extreme fatigue)

We moms can feel often that our energy level is very low… it can be due to sleep deprivation, the mile long to do list, endless tasks and responsibilities… because of toddlerhood challenges and then because of teens… the list just goes on and this low energy seems to escorts us through the motherhood journey.

It seems like motherhood equals low energy. Juggling multiple responsibilities such as childcare, household chores, work commitments, and social engagements can be mentally and physically draining. The lack of uninterrupted sleep, constant worrying about our children, and the emotional labor involved in nurturing a family all contribute to feelings of fatigue. Additionally, we often prioritize the needs of our loved ones above our own self-care, leading to neglect of proper nutrition, exercise, and relaxation.

Society’s expectations of mothers to be perfect, coupled with our internalized pressures to excel in all areas of life, can also weigh heavily on our mental well-being and overall vitality.

It’s not fun. And it also makes motherhood so much more challenging.

You need to somehow break this cycle and figure out how you can raise your energy so you can have more fun as a mom. Now.

Not when they are older, not when they are not toddlers anymore, not when they have grown up… Now.

I’m not going to tell you any kind of BS that your life situation doesn’t matter or that a newborn phase is not a F rollercoaster on zero energy level… but all the tips I’m sharing with you today can help you no matter where you are at.

Use these tips FOR you.

Energy is everything. When you feel energised everything flows easier, you get things done quicker, you get more things done and you’re also more resilient towards the challenges which come your way.

It’s not your fault that you feel exhausted and often at very low energy level.

We moms give so much of our energy and we rarely prioritize our recharge the same level. And the result of course is feeling exhausted and low.. OF COURSE. But… when we are aware of this it’s on us to make a change. To energize ourselves FOR ourselves and for our family.

Here are my 7 favorite ways of raising the energy level:

  1. SLEEP
Get enough quality sleep to support overall well-being. I know I know… easier said than done, but it truly matters how much we sleep. Try to go to bed early and/or try to have naps whenever you can.

  2. MOVE YOUR BODY
Moving your body actually creates energy. Pick something you love and can stick to and move your body every single day. It can be going for a walk, going to the gym, a quick yoga at home or a dance in the kitchen.

  3. NURISH YOUR BODY
Maintain a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It matters what you eat. Think about when you ate something really fat and heavy how you felt after vs when you had a fresh salad with salmon (or whatever is your healthy choice)

  4. HAVE FUN, HOBBIES
It can boost our energy level when we have fun and do something exciting we love. It’s never too late to try something new or to go back to your old fav hobby. Make time for fun to unleash more energy in your everyday life.

  5. SPICE UP YOUR APPEARENCE
Think about how you feel when you have the same yogapants on for days, haven’t washed your hair and don’t even want to look into the mirror… vs imagine that you take a long shower, put on some makeup and your fav dress. It matters. Not for others. For you. Because of you. Everyday is a good day to look fabolous.

  6. MUSIC
Music is energy. Pick your favourite songs and feel the music. Concentrate for a few minutes on the music and let it vitalize your whole body.

  7. ASK FOR HELP
Yepp. You don’t have to do it all alone. It can feel amazingly motivating when we have the right support. Make momfriends and ask for their opinion, have fun together and share experiences.
Hire a coach and let her support you through this journey to become your most energised-vibrant-self. You deserve to enjoy your life as a mom. Now.

Which one will you try first?

Feeling energised is not only a F good feeling, but also a great basis of enjoying motherhood and radiate this towards our kids. You deserve to feel energised again and your kids deserve also your best version.

Don’t neglect your own well-being. You are the heart of the family. You matter.
