Self-Care options Part II - Style
I want to talk a bit about clothing and style. How the hell is this connected to Self-Care?
Very much..
I don’t think I’m alone with (especially in this crazy COVID times) sitting at home mainly in my sweat pants and after some time I feel like I don’t even want to dress up properly. There is just no reason for it…
And when an event comes to actually dress up then I see... oh well.. there is a reason and it is not the event itself. When I pick my favorite dress with some nice jewellery and look into the mirror, well I feel like Cinderella (when she goes already to the ball:P:D). Only because I dressed up.
There is a long list of researches showing that these type of external tricks can boost your confidence. No wonder that all the movie stars and successful entrepreneurs pay attention to their wardrobe and have those beautiful pieces. But what happened earlier – the dressing up or the success?
Could you maybe dress up first and attract more success?
YES.
The fact is that the source is in your own head. If you dress up and due to this you’ll have these amazing motivating thoughts about yourself.. well, you’ll act more creatively and confidently. No wonder that the result will be also more success.
Or if you feel like you could use some cheering up on an ordinary day, just pick your favorite piece and see the change!:) Just try it!
One more word about the style. Style has barely anything to do with fashion. Your style is unique, only yours, your inner shine’s representation. Therefore it must be in harmony with who you are and what you would like to show to the world. Pick always only the pieces that you feel excited about.
I invite you now to play a game:
Next time when you go shopping, don’t look at the price-tag. Pick the items solely based on how much you like them. You can check the price only when you already chose the best ones based on how you feel yourself in them. That’s a true style based shopping! The best if you choose different type of dress shops and discover your taste. If your wallet allows buy the one that you most like no matter the price. Believe me it’s so much better to have one golden piece in your wardrobe than hundreds of cheap ones which you don’t want to wear.
What’s your style? What would your friend’s say about your style?
