How to do NOTHING
The first level is when you can take care of yourself without guilt, read a book, watch a movie, have a facial.
The next level is when you aren’t doing anything, you just are.. sit, think, meditate, check in how you feel.
How often do you take time like this?
I remember, my mom never really sat down, there were always something on her to do list, and if she finished something another two popped up. So she took care of the household and worked at the same time, washed the dishes, cooked, did the ironing.. etc so basically she led an impossible life which was tiring even just to watch. I don’t remember though that she would have relaxed or just sat down, or would have gone for a massage or meet her girlfriends... And then I realized that it’s also difficult for me just to relax without guilt. Luckily it’s in past tense, but I had to work on it consciously.
If you don’t slow down, stop enough times then it’s easy to get caught up in the running wheel, and the result will be frustration, constant business, pressure of your to-do list ...so it will be a real challenge to relax.
Pay attention to your Self-Time.
Slow down consciously, so you don’t run in the running wheel, but respect your time of your life
Let go the external expectations, listen to your inner-self: What do you want? What is your real motivation?
If you slow down and listen, you won’t try to please the external expectations or your own perfectionism, but you can anchor in the moment and re-evaluate stuff in you life.
Just let yourself slow down. Let yourself do nothing.
Can you make it work?
