Prioritize Self-Care But WHY?
Self-Care is important and this message comes from everywhere, kind of a cliche already.
But why is it so important?
Shortly? Because you don’t do it properly, consistently.
Therefore the result is that you get easily exhausted, depressed, burn out, fed up with life...etc
I’ve tackled some of the excuses already, but even if you don’t have any excuse (consciously) you just don’t prioritize Self-Care. As a mother, our perfectionism doubles (if it’s possible) and we think it’s the normal to put ourselves into the shade. Now, if we would aim for a balance where our needs are also fulfilled, we could prevent a lot of struggles.
What does Self-Care give? Time.
Time to think, to check in, to fill your own tanks. And why is it good? Because you can truly live, enjoy the moment. You enjoy life, don’t try to hide from your feelings. You have the possibility to watch your feelings, what’s going on inside of you therefore you are ready to feel and not to bury anything and it’s awesome and liberating.
You meet your inner-self, enjoy the time and you come out recharged, fulfilled.
Self-Care gives Your balanced, best-self. That yourself is relaxed, inspired, motivated and joyful. Sounds good, right?
That’s why I prefer the ’time alone activities’ for the sake of Self-Care. Like a relaxing facial, or massage or meditation. I don’t need a book or a chat to occupy my mind. I want to focus 100%-ly inside, what’s going on.
